Description

Flat rack containers are a type of specialized container used to transport large, oversize goods and machinery. These types of goods cannot be transported by conventional containers.

The biggest difference between flat rack containers and conventional containers is that they are equipped with a super-thick steel floor that can support heavy loads. In addition, this type of container only has a barrier at the head and end, with no barriers on the sides or roof. Especially, these barriers can also be folded down to create a flat surface for placing goods that exceed the size of conventional containers.

20-Foot Flat Rack Container Dimensions

20-foot flat rack containers are commonly used in sea freight. The standard dimensions of this container are: 6m x 2.5m x 2.9m (length x width x height) and a 45cm high base. The feature of the 20-foot flat rack container is that it has a body, 2 ends, and the loading and unloading of goods will be carried out from the sides or from the top down.

In addition, some 20-foot flat rack containers are designed with 2 ends that can be folded down to create a continuous flat surface with the body for transporting oversized goods such as machinery, equipment, barrels, etc. This type of container is often suitable for transporting blocks of goods with a weight of less than 30 tons.

40-Foot Flat Rack Container Dimensions

The dimensions of the 40-foot refrigerated container are considered to be the standard for the production and design of other types of containers. Therefore, the 40 flat rack container is also designed according to the international standard size of 12m x 2.5m x 2.9m (length x width x height) and a 65cm high base to ensure the circulation between countries. The 40-foot flat rack container can transport bulky goods with a weight of less than 35 tons.
